Visual Dare Entry for AnonymousLegacy.

He took her hand gently in his and led her across the limbs, her wobbling, unstable footsteps standing out against his steady, sure ones. She tried to take his advise and feel everything around her, but she couldn't keep her mind off of the rough, calloused, warm, gentle, guiding hand that was barely holding hers.
"I'm not doing very well."
"You are doing fine. Just keep walking."
Her heart skipped a beat as started to lose her balance, but then started racing as his grip on her hand tightened. 
"Don't worry, I'll not let you fall."
Katie's steps started becoming lighter as she let the warmth of his hand spread to her heart and the strength of his words calm her mind. No, Andrew would never let her fall.

      Andrew is a Cron, one of a species of human-animal hybrids (for lack of better description) and they live in and on huge trees in another dimension. Katie is a human, and she has no experience moving about in the trees where he lives. You can learn more about him in one of my earlier posts if you would like. Thank you for reading!

    I've had the privilege of reading the background material surrounding this "snapshot" of Andrew and Katie's world....and it made me smiiiiiile.....!!!! A deft addition of a couple words to clarify the setting, and it would really pop. Love how you really got into Katie's head with this one. Yay for a VisDare from the Cronlands!!!
